Denmark vs Tunisia Match Preview

Denmark to record narrow win over Tunisia

Denmark vs Tunisia - 22/11/2022

Group D of the World Cup kicks off on Tuesday, with Denmark and Tunisia clashing at the Education City Stadium.

Kasper Hjulmand’s team cruised into the World Cup, winning nine of their ten matches in qualifying. In fact, they won their opening nine matches in qualifying before a final game 2-0 defeat against Scotland.

Denmark were highly prolific in qualifying, scoring 30 goals while conceding a measly three, with all the conceded goals coming in their last two group games.

The Scandinavians have played in five previous World Cups. Their recent record in the competition is not great, winning just once in their last five outings in the tournament.

Denmark head into the World Cup in decent form, though, having won five of their last seven international games. They have also scored at least two goals in seven of their previous nine matches.

Jalal Kadri’s team impressed in qualifying for the World Cup, topping their group in the second round of qualifying prior to seeing off Mali over two legs in the third round.

Tunisia has not been a regular in recent World Cups, featuring in just five tournaments since making their first appearance in 1978. Their record in World Cups is a poor one, as they have won just twice in 15 games in the competition. They have also never made it to the knockout stages of the World Cup.

Tunisia may have suffered a 5-1 defeat against Brazil in their last outing, but their previous international form had been good. In fact, before the defeat to the South American giants, Tunisia had been undefeated in seven matches.

FootLivescore predicts that Denmark will record a victory in a high-scoring encounter to kick off their World Cup campaign in a positive manner.
